Jets blind eyes gazed up at the night sky, the milky green orbs unable to see the panoramic view that danced above him. He could hear the goings on of the pride behind him, but he could not bring himself to care.
His beloved fave Rain had been absent for many nights now. Had he simply missed her in his travels between L island and the mainland? Or had some horrific fate befallen her, like it had to his brother and mother? He shook his head to clear it of such depressing thoughts. She HAD to be alive. If not for his sake, then for the sake of their son Hoshi.
"Please come home soon Rain." He whispered to the darkness. "I miss you..."
Releasing a sad sigh, Jet stood and trudged back to the tree where the rest of the pride often gathered. It was going to be another long, lonely night for Umafisi's resident blind healer
