Description Stone-Arrow, Located south of where The Surbin river meets with the Rauvin, after the war this trade post was set up as place not just for comers, but to gather and discus over all politics and agreements with the neighboring lands., it held little structures mostly tents, one man shacks , a few small cabins and its outer walls.  The one building that stood out was the central meeting hall or as it was called Silverkeep.  As the name implied Lady Alustiriel had a small part in its construction, even so she rarely makes an appearance her duties as high lady of Silverymoon kept her well occupied.
The young man and newly appointed knight Darwin Shears was awarded the honor of attending the meetings as her official voice.  Shears was inexperienced in diplomacy, but his heart was true and he proved to be intelligent and well spoken.  And so he was given a chance to play a role in shaping the north for his kingdom and the good of all, a chance he plans to do to the best of his ability. A harder task than he originally thought as he stood in a corner of the watching the tension between the other representatives.

The antagonist, as always, Allen Firth was impatient about waiting for the ranger friend of Bruenor Battlehammer to arrive.  It seam appropriate given that it was about sightings of a strange creature on the border of the trollmoors. The dwarf king, who was present, along with his three other companions where the only ones known who ever venture in the foul place and survived to tell the tail.  Allen protested that it’s a matter of no real concern and should left to scholars and sages to look into.  Bruenor didn’t agree, not to any ones surprise.

All new the old dwarfs’ contentment toward Firth and most of Nesme for he would not have taken such a dangerous path had his company, more accurately his dark elf friend, had bin turned away from Nesme back when searched for the then lost Mithral Hall.  The actions on that day have placed a permanent strain on the relationship the two. Many in Nesme have satiated that they did show support to the dwarves when they came under attack by the drow, but the offered numbers where few.  Later when they where pressed by Obould Allen’s Father had requested aid as Nesme was over run by trolls, who joined with the orc king.  Two score led by General Dagna was sent to aid him with the fleeing refugees.  Some where los others badly wounded and poor Fendr still had trouble speaking with his scared neck.  Afterward when help arrived from Sivrymoon and the trolls where pushed back Galen refused to join the dwarves in their planes to dislodge Obould, Stating that the rebuilding Nesme was more important.

Bruenor was not alone in his feelings about the matter.  To back of the room near the hearth was Ethan Dells who spoke for the farming communities east of Stone arrow.  Ethan was one of those saved by them just boy back then he had felt bad the way the refugees seam to take advantage of the dwarves and showed them much support in the yearly negotiations.  Sitting at the table in the room’s center with Allen and Bruenor was Catti-brie the dwarf’s adoptive daughter and Krushk Long nail with his son Skoul from Dark Arrows.  The orcs showed little enthusiasm; quietly whispering to each other about which they disliked more, which is usually Allen.

“How much longer are we to wait on the drow?” Allen began emphasizing the word drow.

“My husband will be here soon enough.” Catti-brie answered placing her own reminder on whom he was talking about.

“We have already waited a day and theirs still the issue on the western border and the potential sabotage.” The dark haired man returned, referring to the half-orc communities that are being set up there.

Skoul, who lived at one of them with his half-orc mate, gave a low growl.  Nesme has bin accusing that the settlements are purposely placed their as some plot to hinder their trade with the west coast.  The closes village was Fallen-ears across the Surbin and with the majority further north closer to the Lurkwood.  Krushk used this as part of their defense agents the allegations.

“Lies, the people of Nesme just don’t want us there.”
“And who would welcome vile and devious savages on their doorstep?” Allen said openly

Krushk kept his composure in face of the insult.  His son did not and leaned forward snarling at pompous man with clenched fists.

“See how full of blood lust they are; how do you suppose we live with this so close to our home, are loved ones!”  Allen shouted as he rose from his seat and Skoul follow suit.

“That’s enough out of ye’r durn mouth!” Bruenor yelled tired of the man constant dramatics.

“This is not the place to begin hostilities with one anther.” Ethan came in “not when there is already a possible threat out there to consider.”

“I expect as much from a pig kisser.” Said with distain knowing that Ethan was wedded to an orc, Skoul’s sister.  The powerful orc had herd enough and lunged forward to throttle the arrogant man.
Krushk tried to hold back his son but found he did not have to. For Skoul was longer moving and nether was Allen.

“Did ya really half to stop em?” Breunor asked as his daughter as she lowered her hands.
Catti-brie sighed “As Ethan said this not the place or the time to be killing each other.”

“Who said I want both em dead?”
The question brought a small chuckle from the room, save for Krushk who held a worried look on his face.

“He’s fine,” Catti-brie assured him “they both are.”

“Too bad.” Breunor whispered low enough to not be herd
“I will let them go when Drizzt arrives, assuming that they can behave themselves.”

“Then Allen will be there for some time.” Darwin said and another bit of light laughter ensued and Krushk seemed to relax a little.
“Having a wizard present certainly comes in handy.” Ethan offered to Bruenor

“Traded her bow for fingers is all she did.” He said “And was better shot with the bow if yer asking me.”

“You’re just jealous.” Catti-brie said

“Jealous, of what, what do I be needing from a bunch of silly words and wiggling digests?” Bruenor put his large hand out and wiggled his fingers for effect.

“I meant the gray hairs.”

Taken back by her words he looked cross eyed at his beard that wile still red it held a few strands of gray and Catti-brie who was in her late forties, middle age for most humans, did not have a single one. To witch the old dwarf only offered a “Bah!”

The rooms’ only door opened from back behind where the two frozen spokesmen stood.  Drizzt entered and took in the scene. He looked first to Darwin, who offered a polite greeting.  Then he looked to the paralyzed Allen and Skoul.

“And this would be your doing?” He asks his wife.

“I thought we could use a few statuses around the town.” She gave with dismissive smile.  The joke did not go over well with Krushk, who wanted his son released from the spell.

“Should we not end this and begin with our discussion, now that Do’urden has arrived?”

Catti-brie looked at the older orc and nodded. “All right, I’ll start with Skoul if you could keep him calm and sitting when let Allen go.”

Krushk complied and placed his hand on his son’s shoulders and coxed him down when the enchantment was dispelled.  Then Catti-brie released Allen. He held an enraged look in his light brown eyes but remain silent as he took his seat.

“Now that you’re here elf,” Bruenor opened “We got some business that you and ye’r cat should be able to help with.”

“I will offer what aid I can,” Drzzt said “what exactly is this about?”

“It seam an unknown creature has been moving in and out of the Moors.” Ethan said as Bruenor offered him to speak, “It dose not behave like the other monsters known to us, it is silent and fast and proves imposable to track, even for our best hunters and woodsmen.”

“Witch is way I doubt it exists.” Allen interrupted. “You have no evidence to back such claims, its no more than here say from nerves settlers who hear noises at night.”

No one wished to agree with him, but Allen did make a valid point.  Ethan had brought these suspensions to the talks before last year, when some men failed to return home for hunting or with border patrols they where with. Wile most monsters like Trolls, Bog blokes and even huge purple worms prove a constant danger there where other possible misfortunes that could have occur.  Allen clamed that the missing men had most likely stepped in one of the bogs that were all across the Evermoors and its borders and sank to their demise and, with lack of any other proof, it was accepted.

Ethan was not deterred this time.
“I have some one who saw it.”

Everyone gave their full attention, and bade him to continue.
“The Jostins’ boy Timothy has seen it, by some low brush, no more than an hours stride south from my town of Shadedwell.”

Allen scoffed at the notion of Shadedwell as a town. It was no more than half the size Nesme and held little less than hundred living there on small farms that made little more than they can live off.

“And how old is the boy?” Darwin asked
“He is a little over eleven years.”
“Your witness is a mere child.” Allen stated.
“That doses leave us to question the reliability of what he saw.” Krushk agreed

“Timothy knows what inhabits the moors, and both his parents are good, honorable folk.  I do not doubt that their son would be any different.

“Then might we ask young Timothy about this new creature?” Drizzt bade, his interest in the matter steadily growing.
“Unfortunately he not here, he became ill and could not make the journey.”

“How convenient.” Allen snidely said.
“I do have portrait, my wife Narka sketched as he described it.”
“Now its orc scribbles, this is a complete waste of time.”

“Let’s take a look then.” Bruenor said ignoring Allen’s outburst.
“You can’t be serious about this foolery.”

“Allen dear,” Catti-brie began with gentle voice, to get his attention.  “I must let you know that if you persist on acting like an ass then I’ll turn you into one.”

“You wouldn’t dare.” He answered back.

“She would.” Drizzt and Bruenor replied in unison, both knowing better.

Allen stared at them for a moment than quietly sat back, finally giving up.

“Now then.” Ethan said and produces a rolled up piece of parchment.  “Here what we believe it to look like.” He laid out the drawing on the table.

The art was well done and showed much detail of what appeared to be a hooded humanoid being in dark clothing with tight black skin that looked more like scales, sunk in eyes and what appeared to be curved horns showing just out of its hood.  The group studied the image with mixed emotions.
“What kind of devil is that?” Darwin asked.

Drizzt shook his head it was not a devil, but a possible singe of something worse. He looked to Catti-brie; her expression showed she shared similar suspension and concern.
