Hiho @all^^Here we go with a new lil Tarrant drawing but this time not with his beloved Alice rather with an "old friend"..XD
I guess everyone of us love the "relationship" he had with chess during the movie or should i say which Chess had/have with his hat? XD
So my darling and me got the idea how their "friendship" could started... And with this we also got the idea that Chess already started to love the cylinder when he was a sweet lil kitty.
E.g on a random day in the Hightopp Clan...maybe a lil festival... Tarrant is sitting somewhere to have a lil break with a nice cup of tea and a tasty choco-cookie^^ Relaxing and leant on his fathers hat....
Yes his father hat, cause when you look the movie carefully, you can see that Tarrant didn´t worn HIS hat from the beginning...
Cause on the Horunvendush Day (The day the Red Queen took the control of Underland) he picked up THE hat we know now for the first time...The paper with 10/6 isn´t "burned" so much, the hatband have a different color... More magenta and isn´t actually so long like Tarrant used to wear later... It also have a lil bow/ribbon on the side. And it miss at this moment also the feather and the needdles.
Of course you don´t know if the hat really belonged to his father, but we found it was a sweet idea AND it would explain why the cylinder means so much to Tarrant... As the last item/memory he have from his family...
That the hat have in here have a kind of a long hatband, well i decided to add it cause the pic seems without a lil bit tooo empty
So maybe his dad put it on just for the day However...
Tarrant enjoy his lil pause and Chess use the situation to get the hat. He is like Tarrant still a lil "Baby-boy/kitty" and he don´t know how to waft or to vaporize, cause he is still in training.. So he need to walk ect like every normal cat tooXD
And like every child he have nothing better to do than to play tricks on other.
And especially on Tarrant of course *lol*So he comes on silent paws
Poor sweetheart Tarrant... *hihihi*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Other explanations to Tarrants look...:::
I decided to give him a different vest, socks (at least one of them XD), other thimbles and yes he is also without his stains and hand- gauntlets... cause i think at this time the mercury poisoning didn´t infest him in young years.. Thats also why his (from the pic) left eyes haven´t this lil cute orange splotch. Cause it seems that he got it after he lost his home, cause during the close up before Alice got him back from his trance and from these memories you can see that his eyes are both totally normal and similar....
I know i did bad mistakes on the hat cause it is a lil bit tooo high ;_; so i hope you don´t mind
And jesus.. its soo f***** hard to get the exactly pattern of his hat... so i was forced (as always XD) to improvise... :/
Its also a kind of quick-color...so no big deal *drop* BUt...

The curly hair makes him look older, but he did go mad (even more than before) after his family was killed so the crazy hair suits him for that. But he looks kinda cute with curls. So I'm pretty much on a teter-totter.

Yes both fots, indeed. But with the long hair he looks more softy/ girly.. well i don´t know how to explain in the best way X°°°D And well yes its true, the long hair represent his life before his so tragic destiny
And yeah when i image he turns into the Outlander-mood with such long hairs.. hmm well i don´t think it would have the same so hot effect XD

LOL X°°D Um well i don´t think that could ever happan... at least not in this danger way... I think Tarrant is a very emotional person, even if he learned to "simulate" e.g his madness... But when we image that now with Alice i don´t think he would ever hurt her or make her feel uncomfortable in such a moment. For this he simply loves her to much. BUT i think also, that he would be a veery passionate lover!!! *q* Rrrrr... XD

As adorable (I mean really super ADORABLE) as this pic is, he would still have to have mercury poisoning here because extremely pale skin and discoloration around the eyes are also symptoms. So is reddening of the hair, but I think he has born with that.

Well acutally the color around his eyes have nothing to do with a "real/normal" mercury poisoning^^°°° I informated myself a lot about the real illness and i also asked a friend which work in a hospital as a nurse.
Cause you have to make difference between a 1.)chronic mercury poisoning and 2.)acute mercury poisoning
Chronic poisoning occurs when by and by small amounts of mercury compounds are swallowed or absorbed. The metal has the property that it accumulates in body tissues, such as the brain, liver and kidneys. Acute poisoning occurs when recorded within a short time, large amounts of mercury compounds
Let me start explain a lil bit...
1.)First, you may experience general symptoms such as fatigue, head and body aches.Typical symptoms of poisoning are salivation (hypersalivation) with swollen glands. For example, the parties constantly wiping saliva from the mouth corners; pillows are constantly wet. Characteristic also are mouth sores (stomatitis) with ulceration and inflammation of the gums (gingivitis).There may be black principal signs the gum line and a paint throat, tooth loss is not uncommon. Other symptoms include diarrhea and protein in the urine (albuminuria). Mainly, the mercury acts on the central nervous system. It formed in the motor centers inflammatory changes with the stimulus utterances. characteristic of erethism (= pathological increase in excitability) mercurial with irritability, insomnia, anxiety, language disorders, as well as concentration and memory weakness. Motor Noise may be noticeable by a mercurial tremor. There is a tremor, just before a motion is brought to completion (Intentiostremor). The tremor may affect the head, tongue, or hands. The course of poisoning due to repeated writing samples can be quantified (more or less pronounced tremor writing).
2.)The symptoms of this poisoning are a burning sensation in the throat and metallic taste in the mouth. Stakeholders have abdominal pain, vomit and have bloody diarrhea. Similarly, there is an excessive production of saliva. An inflammation of the kidneys with decreased urine output may lead to kidney failure.
Mercury is a naturally occurring metal with unusual physical properties. It is liquid at room temperature and evaporated. Therefore, its high toxicity explained by inhalation. The effects on the body depends on the level of exposure and the type of mercury compound. The age may be crucial for toxicity. Especially methylated mercury crosses the placenta and can cause severe brain damage in unborn children, while mothers often have no symptoms of poisoning.
Mercury can enter in many ways in our bodies, but does not lead immediately to a mercury poisoning.

From the mid-18th to the mid-19th centuries, a process called "carroting" was used in the making of felt hats. Animal skins were rinsed in an orange solution (the term "carroting" arose from this color) of the mercury compound mercuric nitrate, Hg(NO3)2·2H2O. This process separated the fur from the pelt and matted it together. This solution and the vapors it produced were highly toxic. The United States Public Health Service banned the use of mercury in the felt industry in December 1941. The psychological symptoms associated with mercury poisoning are said by some to have inspired the phrase "mad as a hatter". Lewis Carroll's "Mad Hatter" in his book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland was a play on words based on the older phrase, but the character himself does not exhibit symptoms of mercury poisoning.
In Germany we call it Mad-Hatter-syndrome = The Hutmachersyndrom is a mercury poisoning in the 18th Century occurred frequently in occupational groups who had daily contact with the back in days applicable as hazardous mercury.
But with Burton it was different. He used these old phrase for his creation of the hatter. But he didn´t said exactly when it starts... The only thing is that Johnny Depp explain during the Extras from the Bluray, that his work made him "mad/sick" in that way and explained the example with the Mad-Hatter-Syndrome too. He explain also that the poison gets so strong on/into Tarrant that it goes into his hair, his eye color, on his hands and yes also in some ways in his clothes, cause they reflect his emotions in some ways, cause Tarrant isn´t only able to change the colors of his eyes, no, also around and not just into black. You can see, that the blue color of his "right eye" turns into green when he was afraid in Salazen Grum before he falls in love with Alice
So and cause he didn´t worked right from the start so intensive in his trade like e.g his father perhaps, i don´t think he had the stains on his hands when he was a lil boy
BUT thats just my way of thinking about that
