Hello everyone. I know it's been a while since any of you have seen any general sign of me but I've come to show something that I've been working on the last few days. You see, a very good man has left us recently. His name was Monty Oum, an animator who has been working for the online company Roosterteeth the pass handful of years. But he's much more than that. Much more than anyone could ever truly understand.

Monty Oum... Monty Oum was my inspiration. He was practically a hero to me. His fast paced and epic animation and style has always attracted me, amazed me. I had hoped to see much more. His fame started with one of his first big projects, Halotroid and Dead Fantasy which sadly never finished. But Monty Oum was more than an animator. He was more than just an artist. He was a creator. He was always coming up with amazing and awe-inspiring ideas. When he would come up with such ideas, he'd work on it immediately. He didn't think of animation and designing as a job. To him it was a passion. He designed all of these amazing things so frantically, aiming to make it the absolute best it can possibly be.

He was productive, efficient, always working on something new, something more. He was so inspiring and amazing yet so young. Even I... still cannot believe he is gone.

Monty Oum's employer asked in the announcement of his passing for something very simple. He asked that everyone would be... creative. To just do anything within the ability of their creativity and imagination to better and flourish the world of art. He asked that we just create. He asked that we do what Monty would do if he had the ability to.

Monty Oum... was my inspiration... and my goal. I don't think I'll ever be able to reach his level. No. No one will ever be able to match Monty Oum. But, for him, I must create.

You see, something was made clear in a special podcast made in honor of Monty Oum. Monty Oum was always frantically creating and working. He put his all into what he worked on and he would be so excited working on it, but the excitement was not meant for what he was currently working on. It was for what he would work on next. Monty was always looking forward to the next thing. He had such a passion that all he wanted to do was work more and create more. He was truly... an amazing man and an inspiration.

Monty Oum was always like this. And for him we have to do what he would do. We have to keep moving forward. Never look back and never regret. Just keep moving forward. That's what he would do. That's what he'd probably want us to do.

And if you never knew who this man was or what he's done and have no idea what this all is about, then just take one thing from all of this.

Monty Oum was a great man.
