Description
Inspired by EvanVizuett , and sheepman5003Mantrin Empire, is a grand empire of Milky Way Galaxy, Bellisan Quadrant, theres military organization of the Quadrant. Theres a originally planet called Mantra, the Imperial Guard and its divisions is almost as old as the old Empire itself and dates back thousands of years. Long before the inhabitants of Mantra ever traveled to the stars, the first Emperor that ruled over most of the planet had his legion of warriors, ready to respond to any threat, called the Imperial Guard. It didn’t stay that way for long. Their technology improved. The Empire expanded into outer space, establishing colonies on inhabited and uninhabited worlds. They constructed warships and the former Imperial Guard became the Imperial Army, the physical soldiers who fought on the frontlines of any hostile conflict. The Imperial Guard became the spacefaring organization of the old Empire, the forerunners of colonial expansion and of the same entity in its current form, serving the new Empire. For hundreds of years the Empire flourished in its pure uncorrupted form. Great Emperors rose to power, watching over their territory during their time of ruling, their accomplishments achieved without raising so much as a single weapon against another species. They were no pacifists but despite their sometimes violent but misleading temper, the conquering of other worlds wasn’t in their nature. That was until the rise of the one who changed everything. Ish’Val’Kar was his name. A name chosen when he succeeded his predecessor which roughly translates from the old dialect as He Who Has Ascended. Under his tyrannical rule corruption spread throughout the old Empire, turning alliances to ashes, the Imperial Guard into the bringers of death and destruction. Colonization turned into the conquering of other worlds, enslaving them into the corrupt Empire and it didn’t stop there. Ish’Val’Kar’s successors were the embodiment of his old ideals. Corrupted with their power they continued what he started. Mantra became the center of an evil entity, feared and hated at the same time by its oppressed citizens from other worlds. There were conflicts, there was rebellion and even though they were mostly isolated incidents and relatively easily and violently oppressed, their frequency and severity began to increase, planting the seeds for the eventual destruction of the old Empire. The downfall of the Empire however required a trigger, a trigger that became the very core of the Empire itself. Being a geologically unstable planet, volcanism and seismic activity in the form of quakes were not unheard of on Mantra. At a given point in time these natural phenomena became increasingly more frequent and violent. Volcanoes erupted everywhere, flooding the land with lava. Violent quakes ruptured the land, causing destruction on a massive scale, destroying everything they had built. Volcanic ash clouded the atmosphere, blocking out the sun, slowly poisoning and ionizing the air making it unbreathable for many forms of life. Extremely violent thunderstorms dominated the darkened skies, rendering the shrinking number of inhabitants incapable of telling what part of the day it was. That marked the end of Mantra. When the news spread throughout the Empire they were unable to control the more organized rebellion that broke out. Realizing that their own ways had brought the destruction upon them the Empire fell apart, the worlds that were part of it regaining their freedom. The ruling Emperor at that time abandoned the old corrupt ways, a first in centuries, gathered his people, gathered everything they had in terms of technology, knowledge, the DNA of Mantra’s flora and fauna, and the members of their kind who still lived in primitive tribes and fled. For years they traveled and searched, trying to find worlds suitable to establish a new existence on. They had sworn never to resort to the old methods again so the new world would either have to be shared with others or completely uninhabited. This debate eventually turned into the split-up that divided the Mantrin species forever. The first world where one half of their civilization settled was the sparsely inhabited world of Solbrecht. The native Solbrechtians were primitive at that time, offering little to no resistance to the arrival of the advanced alien race that settled on their planet. The Mantrins however did something radical as they started new lives. After introducing Mantra’s flora and fauna to Solbrecht’s ecosystems and making sure the survival and reproduction stayed around adequate levels, they abandoned their advanced technology and modern lifestyle for a simple existence in tribes and small communities as if they had never done it differently and the Imperial Guard seized to exist in any form on Solbrecht as of today. Even as the Solbrechtians advanced in technology they mostly left the Mantrins to their isolated lives without any disturbance. Change was brought to their way of life when humans finally established their colonies. They slowly brought technology back into their lives for the first time since thousands of years and technology on Solbrecht is now roughly comparable to mid 21st century Earth. This is the level they have been willing to accept up till now, although more advanced techniques are available. The other half of Mantra’s refugees continued to search for some time after they finally found a world deemed suitable for colonization. The world that would later become known as Sogowa Prime and the center of the new Empire was uninhabited, barren and with a climate nothing compared to Mantra or Solbrecht. A terraforming program was initiated using their advanced technology to transform the planet in a new home for the inhabitants of Mantra including its flora and fauna. This process took several years to complete but after completion Mantrins finally had a world they could call home again. Mantra’s plants and wildlife flourished in their new environment which was very similar to that of the old world. Their ships were dismantled too but their level of technology and lifestyle didn’t deteriorate as far back as the Mantrins on Solbrecht. A portion of them adapted to a similar way of life together with the tribes brought from Mantra but they also used the raw materials of their ships to harvest more and rebuild the great cities of the old days. The Empire and the Imperial Guard continued to exist on a planet-wide scale. Eventually after what took hundreds of years, the inhabitants of Sogowa Prime, in contrast to their siblings on Solbrecht inevitably turned their faces to the stars once more. They already knew they weren’t alone in the universe so they began rebuilding their great starships. The spacefaring Imperial Guard returned as an organization of protectors and explorers, freed from the horrible name and reputation of the past. The fleet has grown to considerable size ever since but they are no longer feared or despised. Having learned from the past they would never repeat the same mistakes again. This is a already for join of Galactic Forces of Milky Way!
