Description
Solbrecht is a second homeworld. There is a populated by native Solbrechtians. Solbrechtian are gaunt, gray-skinned creatures. They possess large amber eyes and four arms. A large metropolitan planet where a lot of defferent species live together and have established colonies of their own. Most are criminals. Has a two moons, there is captial city named "Zechaat".Solbrecht is the second major planet where the descendants of Mantra settled after they fled the destruction of their world. Originally sparsely populated by the native Solbrechtians (nowadays known as ruthless four-armed creatures) which lived very primitive lives at that time the planet became a new home for Mantrins as well. From what is known, the Solbrechtians offered little resistance to their arrival and even left large areas of the land for them to live on in almost complete isolation from their own kind. Even today they are mostly left alone by Solbrecht’s original inhabitants who have actually become somewhat of a minority on their own world. For hundreds of years a colony of humans existed as well, taking a significant portion of control over society and the inhabitants of Solbrecht. Objection to their presence is currently on the rise and the current situation might grow unstable in the near future.
Despite the growing size of the Empire, the government of Sogowa actually has little control over the somewhat primitive communities of Solbrecht. They each have their own leaders who make decisions for the inhabitants of a single region and they often have meetings to decide about matters that concern all Mantrins on the entire planet. Ever since the split-up, Solbrecht became the homeworld of a significant portion of their kind and the two cultures have grown apart ever since.
There are only two continents on Solbrecht the largest of them being Rihlos. The planet has two large oceans, three major seas and several smaller bodies of water. In many ways Solbrecht is similar to Sogowa. It has beautiful beaches and large cliffs too as well as several major islands. However due to the somewhat dry climate, there are a number of small desert-like areas as well. These dry regions are mostly inhabited by Solbrecht-native animals that have adapted to this climate.
The more hospitable areas of Rihlos are inhabited by many Mantrins as they have spread widely across the entire continent. The fertile parts of the land are covered in grasslands with large deciduous forests growing in the wetter regions around the equator. The forests are home to isolated tribes of Mantrins and many different animals. Some of the wildlife on Solbrecht was brought from Mantra by their advanced ancestors when they found their new home. However due to Solbrecht’s dryer climate, not all species fared equally well and some which are thriving in considerable numbers on Sogowa have gone extinct on Solbrecht.
The same can be said for the animals of the sky. Many species managed to adapt but they also faced a difficulty other than Solbrecht’s dryer climate. The planet’s native aerial predators have evolved in this environment and have been responsible for keeping their numbers small. Several species have already gone extinct with more expecting to die out in the future.
The oceans however have proved to be an excellent new home for the marine animals brought from Mantra. Featuring a similar oceanic ecosystem, Solbrecht’s already rich collection of fish and other sea creatures has expanded greatly, featuring many species from Mantra in large numbers. In fact, some species of fish only managed to survive in Solbrecht’s oceans instead of Sogowa’s and have turned into a local delicacy to be enjoyed by those who would love to taste something that came from the planet where Mantrins originally came from.
Climate:
Other than Sogowa, Solbrecht has a stronger seasonal climate with hot summers (where temperatures can easily rise to forty degrees and above) around the equator. The winters are rather mild in these regions with temperatures rarely reaching below ten degrees. Closer to the frozen poles (of which only the northern pole is an actual continent called Hotor) where another race of Mantrin (the Logri) live the winters are colder with temperatures often dipping below zero. Mantra had a similar polar climate and the Logri had no trouble adapting to this environment, this in contrast to other races of Mantrin.
Humidity ranges from very low in the dryer desert-like regions, which are small and scattered across the surface, to quite high in the fertile areas which are covered by forests. In these humid areas, especially the ones closer to the larger bodies of water, storms are not unheard off but the frequency at which they occur and the strength of the average storm are lower than on Sogowa.
