“Hey there! Still all in one piece?”
Through the dark fabric of her stocking, I could see her putting on her best smile just for me. Of course, she wasn’t taking seriously my situation. At all.
“You should take advantage of this time to breathe some fresh air. So, how is it to be under my foot while I’m working? Were you scared, being trapped in my nylon, with no way out and only my huge foot to keep you company? Or… did you enjoy it?”
Still holding onto her toe, I screamed and begged to be released. After almost four hours in that hell, I was sure I couldn’t endure any more of that torture. I barely managed to survive that long without suffocating in the toxic air.
Her playful attitude disappeared in an instant. “Hey”, she said, sternly, “the bet is about surviving an entire shift under my foot. Don’t get smart with me”. She sighed. “Well, you’re just annoying. I planned on keeping you out during my break, but I’d better put you away again. Now man up and… at least try not to bite the dust before I’m home, ok?”.
Slowly, she lowered her foot back inside the shoe…
