Some ideas for Alolan forms of Seviper and Zangoose.

Zangoose: One day, a Zangoose saw Gladion and was awed by his edginess, so it decided it needed to be edgier- okay, kidding. I based parts of its design on the banded mongoose, and the crest on its head is based on the crest of a samurai helmet, because this Pokemon would definitely learn Night Slash, aka samurai-testing-swords-on-innocent-civilians. My idea is that Zangoose was brought over to control Seviper populations, but faced much competition as an outsider in the Alolan ecosystem. It became a vicious hunter, testing its claws on nearby Pokemon and attacking any who get in its way. Though it has a blood feud with Seviper, it mainly eats eggs and carrion. It appears to have a rivalry with Gumshoos.

Seviper: The Seviper population rapidly decreased as Zangoose grew more violent and deadly, and to survive, the remaining Pokemon began developing ways to avoid extinction. Seviper quickly strikes and hides, using its ability to hide in the shadows. Its tail can produce a ghostly fire to scare off potential predators or slash foes to burn or poison them. However, it faces a massive disadvantage against Zangoose, who is immune to its poison and resistant to its attacks. Despite that, it still attempts to challenge Zangoose, and so Aether Foundation is working to conserve the population.
