Back in the Hooded Crow band days, we did the thing where we invented fictional brands and publishing outfits associated with the band. One was "Crow Communications" or "Crocom", with a stylized crocodile as an image mark. This is how I'd do it today: super simple for reproduction at tiny sizes, and cute. The original logo had an upturned tail like the one at the top; I made the second one in the unlikely case that Lacoste would sue me over an image mark of a crocodile with an upturned tail. I think I like it better, because it has fewer distinct curves.
