Mourtaris can be very diverse. Relying on Loop mourtairs is good for a basic understanding of them, but not enough. Here you can have some non-Loop examples, and I can have a bit of mindless drawings.

Mourts do not belong to any particular world or folk -- they can be found anywhere where your regular humans are. Living in a culture, they can and will adopt it: get tattoos and piercings, make scarring, insert implants, do make up, glue fake eyelashes after loosing their human ones and draw eyebrows, wear lenses, wigs, necklaces, rings and bracelets, bleach or darken the skin, insert grillz and split tongues, and a bunch of other things thinkable and unthinkable -- because they can like it.
It all depends on where they live.

The red middle- or heavy class gentleman on the left poses as an oni, and has also inserted silicone horns on his forehead under the skin (after the mourtirization was finished) and pierced the entire crest with bridges.
The yellow-green lady on the right probably had dreadlocks before, which glued her ears to her neck, but she isn't disappointed with the result at all.
