Description 2022

Once, we talked about how Spy can be seen. You can see him without even using special devices - masking with a pattern on the skin has many disadvantages - but if you use the devices, then he most likely has no chance at all.

But this is not about this, but about body temperature in general. Mouratirs are warm-blooded, just like humans. But because of the thicker skin, under normal conditions they radiate less heat, it remains "enclosed." And they hardly sweat either: their skin is smooth, without any hair and almost without glands -- they have to solve the issue of thermoregulation with their ears, crest, mouth, other outgrowths of the body (flaps and wingers, if one has any) or simply by physically moving in the direction of more comfortable conditions. Naturally, this is an individual matter for everyone, for some it is more pronounced, for some it is less. Speaking specifically about Spy, he is very demanding of conditions: he does not like the heat, but freezes very quickly in the cold too (and the skin pattern starts to work worse).

Here in the picture, in terms of temperature, he feels good: his ears are cold, which means that he does not try to cool down, and in general he is about the same temperature everywhere, which means he is not cold too.
And to have someone to compare him to, next to him is cold-blooded Ian, who is practically invisible, since his temperature depends more on the environment and less on his own physical activity; and Gera as a regular human who, as any regular human should, is shining yellow. But, his hands are cold.
