Bloody hell I made it! I did it. I'm so happy. Ok, here we go:

Obviously this is the entry for the third round of the This was a sports wear round. From the little quiz that we had to take to establish our personal assignment for the round I had mostly answers 'A' so my task was to create one outfit but put it into some context for the OC to flesh her out.

Mirva doesn't do sports. That's just a fact. She doesn't sweat and doesn't have fat or muscle, she is made of magic and... I don't know... granola bars? So I had to think of a scenario where she would be forced to exercise or something along those lines but still keeping in mind that there are some things that she wouldn't do no matter what. Just because NO. I could say that she would do it because of the pageant (and that would not be out of character for her, I bet she had a blast during the laser tag with Nikki Lupus), but I wanted to do something more challenging and a bit more insightful to her story, as that was a part of my task for this round anyway.

Here we can see Mirva fencing with her teacher and former partner - Aldwyn Mercier. She is wearing a pretty straight forward fencing outfit. She refused to wear the shin guards and the flat and unsightly footwear. She opted for padded, platform leather boots. She also changed the cut of the jacket because, as she put it: "This jacked makes you (Aldwyn) look positively like a purple dung beetle. I refuse to partake in looking like a 'dung' anything." In front there is also a short skirt worn for modesty sake, as the cut of the jacket would accentuate her lower lady parts (not long ago the skirt would have had to reach her ankles).

The colours and accessories she has picked for her outfit have a deeper meaning here. This will need a longer explanation, so brace yourself:

Some time ago Mirva came across a very unpleasant situation, she noticed decisions being made in her department without consulting her. She discovered that they were being made during informal meetings in a very "posh and privileged" club. Instead of fighting this problem head on she decided simply to join the club. But that turned out to be next to impossible. So here comes the person of Aldwyn Mercier - her old luv. As a legacy member he got her in, but he wanted to get some fun out of it so he made her uphold one of the older traditions of the club which was partaking in the gentlemen fencing lessons (either that or horseback riding- NO thank You). So that is how we get Mirva fencing on an old fencing 'ring' with Aldwyn in the garden of the "Lords and Ladies of Arwa-Turis Club" building. The blue sparkle on the ground is magic goo. They are both wearing on their backs devices that basically do two things: they generate a protective force field, so no one gets hurt during the training (thus no headgear) and when anyone of them gets close to the edge of the ring it informs you that you will soon be out of bounds (much more precise and effective than a human judge).

Now that we have where, why, with whom, and what's that blue stuff, time for the colours: the elder members, legacies of the club and so on, are the ones that wear purple jackets and violet cotillions pined to their lapels or hats. New members are obliged to wear light colour jackets (pastel colours etc.) and are given no cotillions. Mirva usually doesn't have a problem with rules, as long as she can find someone that would bend them to her needs. Well... let's just say in this particular club there don't do that much bending. She got frustrated fast with this lot and Aldwyn helping her did not ease the nerves. So she got a bit evil and she made an outfit that would make a statement as to what she thinks of their superiority. She had a pair of boots made in their precious purple colour so the purple bastards would see that they are below her, and in her hair she pinned a hair clip suspiciously resembling a purple cotillion. Aldwyn had a blast with all of this - he is one of those 'devil may care' rich people. When Purple Privileged Pricks saw her in this getup their faces matched colours with the jackets. It was a fun day, spoiled only by the goofy grin on Aldwins face as she struggled with the fencing later that afternoon. She will get back at him somehow, someday, somewhere.
