Sitting alone on the bridge Anka checked the instruments for anything out of the ordinary.

Most of the Ensemble of Blinking lights and warning signs get ignored, just like every other shift before on this journey, though one nextcomer makes her worry.

"I'm fucking drenched, it must be almost 100°F in here" she complains while tapping on the heat level warning for the aft heatsinks hoping that would make the problem go away.

And the thoroughly applied tape used to block the warninglights just won't hold in the humid stale air, depressingly slow sliding off and falling god knows where.

As the tape sinks slowly to the floor in the 0.3G she comes to an decision.

"Heat dissipation is a problem in Space when everything is working as it should, but this old hunk of space debris can hardly be called a freigther."

Kicking the panel in front of here to accentauted ths profund exclamation. "Nothing works and it's one stopgap solution after another.

If the captain won't get his shit toghether and fixes this pile of junk I'm out at the next station, breach of contract my ass."

Somewhat satisfied by her outburst she leans down checking the panel she just checked, just in case she broke something important by chance... You never know with such sophisticated trechnology like this hand me down freighter. The panel sported a new dent and was flaking of some of the layers of protective coating applied in it's almost 120 years of use but seemed to be functional fine.

"Phew, Can't buy shit when your dead!"
