Well, before Shippuden, Sasuke, Sakura, and Naruto were 12 years old. In Shippuden, they are in the 15-16 year old range. This is around the time you grow most, being with puberty and growth spurts, and the like. It's not unnatural at all that they have grown so much. As an adult (like your sister), you don't grow nearly as much as you do when you are a teenager, so this explains why the teens of the show seemed to grow so much, when the adults (for example, Kakashi), look exactly like they did 2 years prior.
