I'm here from outside (FA). I'm trading art with an artist who used this for their design, because I want some background characters in a comic and don't want to think too hard. What's the point in making an MS paint version if it's transparent and has black outlines?

Nono you don't get it, if the background is transparent and the lines of the base are black, Ms paint will make the transparent part black too so you can't use it.

You might have to redownload it, if it doesn't work try seeing if you need any updates for your computer, or your computer might be affected by the latest updates and will not take transparent images.Β

No you arent getting it. Windows Paint makes all transparency black, so if a base has black outlines they all merge and you can't you use it. It doesn't MATTER if you're using windows 8 or 10, Windows Paint can't do it.

When downloading it, have you just been copying the downloaded file into MS Paint? If so, you need to save it as a PNG in your files first and then open the file in MS Paint from your files. It should then fix your problem. It comes out all black because MS Paint can't support transparency. To make it look transparent in DA again you can always take a screen shot of the colour the background of the deviation looks like when transparent and paste it into the canvas. Pick the colour, undo once orΒ twice (if the canvas is made bigger or not) and then fill in the background when you're done.
