Nothing says fear to me more than a close-up of big, wet-looking, wide-open eyes. That shine sells it, and the bit of color of her skin has that translucent look common to horror. The background is pure horror gravy, the blurred depth-of-field giving us a claustrophobic feel, the looming dark shape of the building in front of her serving as a metaphor, and those twisted and reaching trees in the background. Lots to love here, and the Dawn figure is a very expressive and underrated masterpiece of work for these types of scenes.
