My main PMD characters, Quill and Chiiko!

Quill:
Quill was the mysterious "Pokémon from the future" that showed up unconscious on the beach. With some healing care from Chiiko, she was strong enough to assist Chiiko in her adventures. Quill is described by many as unusually selfless and reckless, and doesn't talk too much, leading most to see her as the complete opposite to her other team member. Many are uncomfortable around her because of her fierce protective nature around Chiiko, and the stories surrounding her once being a human, with the power to see one's past or future. Although outward appearances make her seem like she'll bite, she's tender around a precious few, including Chiiko and a few of their old guildmates.

Chiiko:
Chiiko was one of many sons and daughters in a Chikorita herd, and was always the "problem child" as well as the runt of the litter. She was never able to grow a very large leaf crest due to all of the food typically going towards her older and stronger siblings. Once she was old enough to have a mate chosen for her, she left her herd and sought to become an explorer... but what's an exploration team without a partner? Chiiko's personality speaks for itself; she's gregarious and often acts before thinking, and her eagerness often gets the team into accidental adventures. Even though she's a bit ditzy, she has a tender and loving heart and her empathy shines brightest in her work as an explorer.

And yes, they're girlfriends.
