EDIT: changed the colors of Anakin's room. I really didn't like the previous bluish tone. I think a brownish scheme fits better the insides of the Jedi Temple

Mh, okay, so, it looks like in tonight's ep Anakin and Ahsoka are back, and I wanted to express my incredulity with this stupid drawing. In my mind it was so much better, but that's how I realize how noob I am...I can't really get things down the way I imagine, but ANYWAY! I'm in a bad mood because of this lately, so don't consider my whining.
The joke is also kinda unfunny, but I've been having this image in my mind since the third episode of the infamous Krell trilogy! xD Anakin and Ahsoka don't even think they're going to appear again in the series in which they basically should be the main characters, when suddenly, they appear again, and Anakin was already ready to think about retirement.
Don't tell me the main characters are supposed to be the clones :/ I have the bad habit of disliking a show if I can't see my favorite characters anyway (that applies even when those characters are co-protagonists or something anyway), and I consider Anakin and Ahsoka as the central characters of TCW. That's why I'm totally upset by the fact that they TOTALLY disappeared for six weeks. SIX WEEKS!! What the hell? D: And there was even a hiatus somewhere between the droids episodes, for which I have already expressed my disappointment...
Luckily I had Supernatural. But this week SPN is on hiatus and I HOPE the good, old TCW adventures are coming back. I miss them so much.
Please, don't spoiler me though, I get to watch it only tomorrow's evening 'cause I live in Italy
And btw, I didn't invent Anakin's room. It is based from a sketch which you can find in the book "Anakin Skywalker: A Jedi's Journal" which came out around 2002, with Episode II. Actually, that was how it is supposed to look when Anakin was 9-10, I don't know how the rooms system works in the Jedi Order but I like to think he's always in the same room, or a similar one, and that the furniture and the objects are kinda the same! x)
Too bad I had to make up the colors, and I don't like them a bit. Maybe I'll try to fix them...I dunno...

Did you do a picture where Anakin and Ahsoka are complaining about the Nomad Droids episode as well? I saw it posted on facebook and thought it was cool, but didn't know who the artist was. This looks like the same style, and I really love it-- clean lines and coloring plus meta-joke = excellent. ^_^

I am sorry to say this, but as a Star Wars aficionado...the Clone Wars series is a serious slap to the face. George Lucas didn't take even one of the 12 years of fiction done around the Clone Wars under his direction. Boba Fett does not get to have the epic showdown with both Grievous and Mace Windu as in the Young Jedi Series. (Nor does anyone realize Palpatine is found out to be Darth Sidious by Boba Fett and is bought off after fighting Mace Windu in Palpatine's apartment.) The whole series lately has been one careening mess up one from another. We don't get to see the epic battle on Kamino courtesy of Dark Horse comics, in which the ARC troopers are prepared at the darkest hour to destroy all cloning material (including the munchkins) from capture by the Separatists.
Captain Rex never existed in the Star Wars universe...but two famous other clones did. Commander Appo. (which several comics and books were done in which he featured, Anakin/Darth Vader highly valued him because of his loyalty. He also shows up in Episode III. [He only gets a piddling amount of screen time...in the Clone Wars and has been demoted to "Sergeant" Appo...when in reality he is the overall Commander of the 501st Legion. ]) Commander Thire is the second sub-commander of the 501st Legion.
Captain Rex is a rather messy variation of Alpha...the original hero ARC trooper that followed Obi-Wan and Anakin across the galaxy in the first two years of the war. (Dark Horse Comics again.) Alpha trains all the Clone Commanders...which includes Commander Cody. [an experimental clone for command purposes] and Commander Appo, Commander Jag...and other notable commanders...who were part of a kill team that nearly wiped out both Grievous, Dooku, and Asajji Ventruss.
To top it off and add insult to injury, Mr. George Lucas will not follow his own notes! The Clone Wars are 3 years long. Anakin doesn't become a knight until the last year of the war...(Episode III.) So he is never given a Padawan! George Lucas fires a famous author who was working on the Republic/Imperial Commando series Karen Traviss, and forbades her from ever working on a Star Wars Book again! (Because she was voicing some dissent on the behalf of the fans from the 1970's to present day...who love the canonized books.) And yet he can't stop names like Timothy Zahn who is more popular and even more well known in sci-fi circles. Even those books contradict everything George Lucas is doing. And from the chatter going on, people are remaking his whole series, because of the mess its in!
Besides...I would rather have The Clone Wars cartoon version over this junk. Oh by the way you're missing out on the ninja assassin version of Obi-Wan Kenobi, and the brain washed version. (Dark Horse Comics.) Obi-Wan in armor with his Episode II-III hairstyle. You have no Durge, no Alpha, no General Mohrc (the developer of the Dark Troopers..and Purge Troopers....he found droids hand to hand in the clone wars,) Tarkin (pre and post Clone Wars,) several clone and normal humans romances. (Including one of Jango Fetts former lovers.) No Etain or Darman romance (Clone Commando and a Jedi romance plus a baby!) I kid you not a whole series of books were done on this...nada shows up in the Clone Wars.
See what Av ant-garde gets you.
To me this is an app joke for us old guard Star Wars fans. (Yeah the writers leave you hanging big time...and under appreciated.)

Well, sadly I never got to read any of the comics, because only a few of what comes out actually arrives here in Italy and it would be really expensive to buy them all! XD So I can only tell you my personal opinion without going technical about it. I think the point of the series is not following the comics though. It's more like telling another story under the same name, for what I got reading your comment, but I have to say I'm fine with both comics and the TV series. Star Wars is so vast, after all...I like the existence of different versions of things. This kind of thing happens also to other stories, not only in Star Wars...seeing the same characters in different contexts. anyway I'm really fond to these characters, especially Anakin and Ahsoka who was created for this series, so I'm happy to watch it when there are good episodes with character development and when we see relationships between characters

and then watch the Clone Wars. You will see a massive difference. One even though its cartoony (done by the creator of Samurai Jack.) it follows the books and comics.
I think you might have to look at the series a couple times before saying the new stuff is good.
From what even George Lucas says...its an experiment and its horrible. ( They fighter over the ideas and then slap them together.)

Thanks for the links. I know that series but never got to watch it. I don't mind the fact that it's cartoon, I usually prefer traditional animation over computer graphics.
Anyway again, you can't really state that it's "horrible" like it's some kind of truth...not everybody thinks that. For example, I like certain arcs, and to me they're good and entertaining, at least in terms of characters development and relationships, like I already mentioned.

Well, I am one of those who is a stickler for a series to be within its bounds or else it must be redone from the floor up. And it frustrates me when I see good series like this being torn apart.
We have been commenting on a Star Wars "Civil War" between the old guard Star Wars fans and canon fans, versus the new guard...Clone Wars series watchers.
On subject of the "truth." If one has read the books vetted and canonized by George Lucas. It makes no sense for him to go against them...or wipe them all away. If you have watched Episodes I-VI and read the books. The 3-D series, does dis-service to all the characters and books. [over 30years of books were written over Star Wars...and George Lucas wants to make them obsolete? After he canonized them?]
You watch the Clone Wars...its cheap production. Clone Troopers don't need flashlights on their helmets...they have multi-spectrum visors. The Gunships have none of the bubble side turrets. [too difficult to program] Cade Bane was added because George Lucas didn't want to pull in the fan favourite canonized Durge. Gunships with searchlights...eh? Second Battle of Geonosis doesn't happen until 30yrs after the clone wars. Its George Lucas trying to regain his stardom after a series of rival high profile spectacular movie productions, and if you are familiar with his pre-Star Wars works he is not well known. He is more famous for banking on his name, than actual material. THX-1138 was his first movie its a dystopian controll movie...that failed miserably...yet has become George Lucas's biggest joke everywhere in the Star Wars series...even the THX icon in the movies is a direct point back to that failure.
I mean why do kiddy Star Wars when you can do the whole shebang? (real deal.)
Let me ask one question...just out of curiousity? Have you read Republic Commando or any of the book series?

I don't know, I honestly liked the previous episodes, especially the Umbara Arc, now Ahsoka and Anakin are indeed among my top favorites, but a lot of people prefer the clones over the Jedi since they are viewed as the true main characters of the series. I think it's because aside from being clones of a same man, they are just regular human beings, with no powers like the Jedi, that seems to help some of the viewers to sympathize with them more than with the Jedi.

The fact is that, like I mentioned, I get bored when I don't get to see the characters I like for SO long (at first, I didn't mind one or two droids episodes, but to me this was really too much!) so of course my drawing is just voicing my personal opinion
