- For some reason, everyone used to assume he'd be super flirty(he still isn't sure why), and now it's a running joke that he tolerates but really wishes it would just die.
- He was born when ponies in same sex relationships only had the option of surrogate fathers and/or mothers, which is why he looks so different, compared to his mothers. His surrogate father is a stallion that goes by Star Hunter, not that Akane or his family know that.
- Akane is in a long standing relationship with his childhood friend, Vortex Whooves. You can guess who Vortex's father is by his last name.
- Due to who his surrogate father is, his lifespan is a bit.. Longer, than any normal pony, and he's a bit tougher to kill than the average joe. He doesn't know this though.
- He and Vortex share a birthday, which fueled their friendship, as young kids.
