Inspired by one of my favorite pages from the Superman Family comic, this page is a reworking, now featuring my New Retro 70s Supergirl. Here is the original page: The Superman Family Issue #184

Supergirl's classic and longest-continuously-used costume--her balloon-sleeve blouse and hotpants--imagined by fan John Sposato, first appeared in Adventure Comics #410 (September 1971). Supergirl continued to use this costume (with only slight modifications) until "The Daring New Adventures of Supergirl" #12 (October 1983). That year, 1983, I "updated" the costume slightly--tying her blouse up midriff for a sexier look--about the time when DC Comics changed her costume along with the release of the Supergirl movie released in 1984. To me, this will always be Supergirl's best costume!
