this is nen, from happiness theory~11x14, bristol board
black/gold/white ink, watercolour, marker.
i used a brush for reference on some of the flower placement. >w< i don't really remember what it was though. =__= Enjoy all the bright colours. 8D

i cover it with paper so the paint doesn't splatter on wherever the paper is. it comes with practice and experience.

By that, do you mean, you make like stencils of the area you want to cover up (the character) or just loosely sit the paper on the drawing whilst doing the background?
