Shut up...I know every theme challenge picture I've done has either Aranelion or Camillia in it, (usually both) Heh, I'm going to try and do one without them in one for a changee but...I just loving drawing these two.

Anyway, before we go further, here are the lyrics to the song for this picture. It's called "A Song to Sing"

Yeah, looks like a long song. What I meant by alternative verse was when they performed this song the first time they added that verse, which was printed on the back cover of the CD. It was a poem called This Glassy Surface and they sang it with this song. Normally, on the CD it ends after that last chorus, but when they added that verse, they sung the chorus one more time, and infact, this is the part I put on the picture itself.

Anyway, this song is played entirely on piano. It's just piano and vocals the entire way through, which is what inspired this picture. I could see Aranelion sitting there playing piano with Camillia sitting beside him and the two of them singing together...this should come as no surprise, but the times Aaron and I have sung together like this also inspired it ^^

This was my first try at drawing a piano... I realized I started drawing a grand piano but turned it into a grand/stand-up hybrid I also used a new technique I picked up in Drawing Fundamentals when I colored the piano. I colored it with a 4B drawing pencil and then smudged it with my finger. I'd like it to be a little darker...and I decided not to ink the piano, but did ink everything else.

Aranelion's face came out a little weird, namely the nose. It took me forever to figure out the way his face should look with respect to the way he is facing. Finally I got the nose right, but it still bothers me >.>;

See how Camillia is looking at Air so lovingly? I've done the same to Aaron...I mean, when he plays the piano so beautifully I'm almost lulled into a trance...he's that good. Aranelion doesn't really have that "lulled/romantic" look on his face, but you can tell that while he's paying attention to the music, he can see Camillia looking at him this way, and he's smitten by that
