I titled this one "Simple Ways to Make a Difference" because after Taylor finally consented to let Isaac speak, (check out this photo to see what I mean: [link] ) Isaac started talking about the difference we were making simply by walking. Sure, the walking itself shows how we can come together to make real change, but every mile walked donates one dollar to make a difference in the lives of people in Africa.

Yes, there's poverty in America, but for the most part we are so blessed and fortunate while so many others go without. Making change has to start somewhere. Some money goes to building schools in Africa, other money goes to digging wells, buying shoes, improving healthcare, and helping women with AIDS receive treatment so the children they have will not be stricken with the disease.

It was heart-wrenching when they mentioned a graveyard in Africa where over half the graves were for children. It does my heart good to know I'm helping in some way simply by walking. It's inspiring, not just with what the Hansons are doing, but by what we can all do.
