My part of the art trade with MajimeOkay first off...*screams* This took me a week to finish off because I was going back and forth between it and working on my computer. None the less I had fun doing it when I was. Anyway....about the shading on his face, if you don't know where the light source is shoot yourself...I'm serious. -_-
I did the ball of dark mass because I believe I read somewhere that he's magic has to do with darkness so...I winged it. :sly:
Also the background is obiviously a photo of some part of the amazon because Polaris lives in a temple in the amazon. ^^ Gotta like that.

Gorgeous!
I'm pretty sure that anthro is an animal with human traits - technically speaking. As we anthropomorphize animals in many ways by projecting human emotions etc... onto them. And this is the way I remember that nagas (which I love) do not fit in the anthro category. They're humanoid with animal traits like kemonomimi, not animals that are blended with human forms / feelings.

Beautiful. Nicely proportioned too.
And not to be snide, but it has nothing to do with fur (so don't let them try and tell you it does). anthro comes from the word Anthropomorphic which means: suggesting human characteristics for animals or inanimate things. So any animal with human characteristics is anthropomorphizing that animal. (Talking pigs, dancing penguins, etc. So every disney animal. . .) A winged person with a horse head and hooves in an anthropomorphic creature. However Naga are like unicorns, centaur and mermaids. Mythological and fantasy. So you did fine not calling him an Anthro (and don't let them try and say otherwise. It was mythology before anthro came around.)
