If you're wondering what it's like to be present at a photo shoot just look at this image (17) and the last one I posted (16). These two images may seem very similar - and they are! The main differences between them are the position of her head and her arm. This is an example of how models move during shoots. The goal isn't to completely change everything about what you're doing every time the shutter clicks (like in the movies) but to create a subtle flow between different poses. After I pressed the shutter on (16) she put the hand that was underneath her chin on her knee and then lowered her head. After I took that shot (17) she slowly moved around (while staying in the same pose) to face the other direction so that she was facing right instead of left. When you pose like this you don't need 100 new ideas, just 20 ideas and 5 variations between them. Thank you for coming to my TED talk!
