Description And now we come to the arguably most famous of the Original Primes, the Fallen.  Seriously, though, why are the bad ones more well-known?

Anyway, meet Megatronus, warrior of darkness and entropy, who became known as "the Fallen" when his name was stricken from history when he was cast out for betrayal to become the first Decepticon, and who made his first appearance in Dreamwave Productions' comic books.  It's worth noting that Megatronus' betrayal is a key element in all versions of the Primes' story.

In Simon Furman's original telling, the Fallen had joined forces with Unicron, forcing his siblings to banish both him and his dark master across the dimensions.

In the live-action movies, it was his desire to destroy Earth's sun that turned him against his siblings, forcing them to sacrifice their lives to stop his evil plans.

In the Aligned Continuity, after defeating Unicron, the Primes fell to war with one another when Liege Maximo's cruel manipulations led Megatronus to kill Solus Prime in a fit of rage.  Her last words to him as she died were "I love you."  This war marked the end of the Age of Primes and they mostly left Cybertron, retreating to their other-dimensional Realm of the Primes, but they would play a role in the 2015 RID cartoon with Micronus training Optimus to combat the return of Megatronus.  It's explicitly stated that Megatron got his name from the Fallen.

IDW's comics have taken the story of the Original Primes in a decidedly different direction since, in that world, they're not Primus' first creations, but rather the leaders of the Thirteen Tribes that formed on the planet during its prehistory, and they're more or less treated as a bunch of crafty, charismatic old warlords who rose to prominence in their respective tribes and were deified by later generations.  As in the Aligned Continuity, they fell to war with one another after Megatronus killed Solus and went on to vanish from Cybertron.  However, their shadow has been hanging over the IDW Universe for some time, with a few members set to make a return.

Funny thing about the Animated Universe is that, while Primus doesn't exist there, the Allspark Almanac makes a passing reference to the Fallen, which adds to the confusion.

For this, I used Cybertron-mode Megatron as a basis and mixed in elements from the Aligned, Movie and Dreamwave versions of the Fallen.  I tried to make the flames look like the way they were portrayed in the show, which involved a lot of glowing, and thus little room for details.

Up next is the 13th Prime, a figure of both mystery and, if I'm being honest...controversy.

In my continuity megatronus was pretty much how he was in the aligned continuity only that his fellow primes care for him during the battle against unicron he was infected with dark energon and slowly started to change he would push the others along with solus away he then would start hearing unicrons voice and then his anger his fury his violent nature to over and he began to fight the others they tried to calm him down but in his eyes he saw them as monsters and he heard them insult them which in reality that wasn’t happening he struck down leige and was about to kill prima when solus got in the way of the requiem blasters shot it killed her and this caused megatronus to snap back into reality realizing what he did he was filled with anger at unicron for what the chaos bringers dark blood had done to him he vowed he would avenge solus and he would not rest until unicron answered for his crimes

"He shivered. This was a mistake.
No, it could not be. At least not one of his own making. How would that be possible? He
was practically a god, one of the Thirteen...He played back the moments prior: he had
the most vile Decepticons at his command, a galaxy at his mercy, and his hands were
all but clasped on unlimited power... But then there it was, the one thing that could stop
him.
He shivered again.
Broken, defeated, he found a fold, a seam in reality at the same moment the spear had

torn through his skull and ripped through the workings underneath. It was a desper-
ate escape... or as close to desperate as he had ever become. In his haste and weakened

state, he had made a... Miscalculation. He had passed through the fold and tumbled far
farther than he had ever intended. He was farther from the core than he had ever traveled.
He could feel the essence of energy and existence changing around him. Polarities darted
and twitched. It tickled.
Static filled every sensation. His ultimate destination screamed into realization.
His whole being shivered." - Coalescene
