Rhiane was incredibly reactive, quickly snapping her head in the direction of the voice, dark brown eyes staring up at grace. Rhiane’s vacant white eyes were the norm. A form of self protection. If nobody knew what she was looking at, nobody would be able to figure out what she was thinking. What she was planning. Of course, nobody would be scrutinising where and what she was reading or looking for in a normal situation, but it was simply her paragon mind-set. The possibility of someone being able to mind read her was also a ridiculous fear that she had.

She stared at grace for a moment, not even realising the shift in her eyes. She didn’t know what Emma had told grace, but judging on how grace was speaking to her, rhiane could only assume that Emma didn’t exactly say the whole story. For all she knew, Emma lied to get herself out of trouble! Rhiane was running only on assumptions. She didn’t use reasoning like an adult, because she wasn’t one. she didn’t have the best communication skills on a good day. In this situation, her main concern was self preservation. She felt like she was in danger subconsciously. “you sound more mad at me, than you did at my m- *Rachel* when she killed your child. Why did you leave her with me after the fact? How was I supposed to explain that she died? I couldn’t. Did you expect me to? She was confused, and that pathetic excuse for scrap metal just had to push it. Emma got scared, and attacked me. I fought back. I defended myself, and don’t you DARE use the excuse that she’s *just a child*, because newsflash grace, so am I, and I think you know full well how strong she is. An adult should have been here- YOU should have been here- leaving two obviously traumatised children to their own devices isn’t exactly a smart idea. Especially after one of them was *killed.* don’t you think she needed her mother more than some random girl she made friends with a few days ago? *Where were you?*” Rhiane’s voice was cold, and she left no room for argument. She assumed that grace was Emma’s mother, adopted or otherwise. Her voice grew increasingly agitated as she got worked up, with the occasional crack in it, her voice shifting, very similar to how Mishe’s would. She didn’t want to hear the sound of her own voice try to explain this. The voice of a child wouldn’t be taken seriously, so she used the voice of Quinn. His voice always helped to calm her down. She even spoke like him, using reasoning that he would. After all, if he was here, he’d certainly be scrutinising Grace’s absense after everything that had happened. No Gabe, no Ma’goa? Nobody?? Quinn would’ve been there if it wasn’t for the whole mishe situation. She was lost in the moment, the anger and the fear and the guilt causing further subtle alterations in her form. Her hair stood up on her skin, slightly mutating more, even though her body was still messed up from the sudden mutation from the prior initial fight.
