This is an older WIP from over a month ago. I did start the coloring process but I get easily distracted lol.

I do want to finish it because it's actually a very important scene in Taerel's story line, considering he doesn't disband the Inquisition and vows to stop Solas whatever the cost. So there will come a time where the two face each other in battle, and it's likely only one will be making it out alive.

The Dread Wolf also isn't really there, it's more like a ghostly representation of him standing with Solas, but that will be more clear in the final version (whenever I finish it). I just like working with very solid lines XD
I'm gonna have fun with the effects there, glowy eyes and ghostly wisps of fur and everything ^__^

Anyway yeah, uploading this because I've been so inactive here and I often forget I should upload stuff here as well, instead of keeping it all on tumblr.

I also read that Patrick Weekes (you know, the LEAD writer) wants to give Solas/Solavellan players closure in DA4, so I'm really hoping we'll get a redemption arc. Like, I don't want to be forced to kill Solas to save the world, or worse, sacrifice my Inquisitor in order to defeat him. I WANT MY HAPPY ENDING, I want both alive and Thedas... not burning. If it turns out this becomes an actual option in DA4 I'll very likely change Taerel's story line and... not kill him in this battle. Because right now, his canon is that he won't survive this fight. He'll be lucky to reach his 35th birthday with the way things stand now. I'm sorry, Tae, you know I love you! T__T

So yeah, keeping my fingers crossed ;___; Tae needs his demi god wolf boyfriend back! *gross solavellan tears*

Taerel IS a mage by the way. He was (and still is) a Knight Enchanter, so after he lost his arm he had his trusty staff modified to have a shorter grip and a longer blade, making it resemble a sword and allow him to wield it like one, because he can no longer wield his spirit blade but his fighting style was very dependent on it. This way he can still channel and fire spells, and still fight like he used to.
