FULL NAME: Rian Snowblind, AKA Snowblind the Hare

GENDER/SPECIES: Male Snowshoe Hare

COLORS/MARKINGS: Predominantly white with black tipped ears and grey hands and feet, green eyes

CLOTHING/OUTFIT: Winter-grade boots and gloves, insulated ski jacket and pants, ski goggles

LIKES: Coffee, hot chocolate, hot beverages in general, flight, inventing/creating, his hometown, winning

DISLIKES: Will always complain about the cold, despite having been born and raised in it

COMBAT STYLE: Without the Vortex Armor, Rian has average strength and somewhat faster than average speed, particularly over Arctic terrain, though he will avoid engaging in combat without the armor if he can absolutely help it. With the Vortex Armor, he has jetpack-powered flight capability, enhanced tracking and targeting capacity, and the Freeze Fracture weapon system, which consists of a medium range ice cannon, and a short range shockwave cannon to shatter anything frozen.

BACKGROUND:
Rian Snowblind is a snowshoe hare from the far north of the Frost Barren Zone. A robotics engineer previously part of a team dedicated to reverse-engineering captured Eggman technology, Rian retreated to his hometown of Cold River with much of the resulting technology after his team’s original base was overrun. In the frigid tundra of the Frost Barren Zone, Eggman incursions are few and far between, owing both to the extreme conditions and the comparative lack of settlements and resources to plunder. Protected by the isolation of the wilderness, Rian and his new team have successfully reverse-engineered Eggman robotics into both defensive and offensive measures, including the Vortex Armor jet suit Rian created and frequently utilizes.

PERSONALITY:
Wise-cracking, sarcastic, and confident bordering on cocky, a string of successes since Rian first donned the Vortex Armor has significantly bolstered his ego. He may be getting a little overconfident in his own abilities as he has yet to suffer a proper defeat; a lot of that may owe to having yet to face a true attack force and his team having primarily operated in a defensive versus offensive capacity. A part of him is itching for a harder challenge past defeating the occasional robotic scouts, but another part of him is content to continue defending his little corner of the world and not pressing the fight where it’s needed. Being the native of the Frost Barren Zone that he is, he’s reluctant to make any moves that would draw too much attention back to his homeland, but he is increasingly open to the thought of travelling to and assisting other resistance groups in more overtly occupied areas. Mission planning tends to be delegated to his teammates Jaunt or Snap, as Rian is prone to overly complicated battle plans when left to his own devices, as well as explosive fits of anger when things go awry. His anger issues have been one of the few rough spots in his relationships with Jaunt and Snap, mainly wondering what will happen when he’s finally faced with a battle he can’t win.
