Trying out some new drawing tactics. I also wanted to make something new to put on my front page. Stitch is always the most fun to draw when he's in his red suit. ^^Stitch © Disney

As always this is awesome. It has such a softness to it that it feels real, while still making it feel cartoony. A great balance that just makes me want to reach into the screen and grab him.

It's tricky when you're going for realism while drawing cartoon characters (though this is not very realistic). It can easily go straight to uncanny valley.

The reason I say this looks realistic is because of the depth and the feel of Stitch. Like you said, things can go to uncanny valley, but that's because cartoons aren't real. Realism in cartoons to me is when they feel real. And that's what you bring out in your art. It truly is like they're there. If that makes any sense at all.

Love it! Beautifully done! Thank you for getting the notches in the ears right! That's always been a peeve of mine. And the wispy smoke from the barrels and the light shining on his eyes and nose - nice touches.
Disney, hire this person and make a live-action movie already!! If you can put a stupid CGI tree and racoon in a movie, why not Stitch?!?!
