I still think the open port hole belly is stupid, and was I doing the costume now I would cover that up. but at the time I wazs trying to say more literal to the character then I do now

Damn! This looks nice! Huntress has one of the best costumes as heroines go. Although I do prefer the one in Birds of Prey. But this is awesome too.

I totally have to agree with the belly hole. I have always hated that about her costume. It says to me "Please, stab me right here, bad guys" But you rocked this costume anyway. I'm loving the mask. Very well put together.

thanks! Yeah in hindsight (costume being like 6 years old now) I probably would have axed the porthole but at the time I was still following more closely to the comic designs then I do now.

[Though I do agree about the bare stomach of her costume being a little silly, especially from a fighter's point of view-- that'd be the one spot I'd definitely want to cover in armor against knives, guns, and punches!]

I never talked about the photo, lighting, focus, cropping, angle, etc.
Only about costume and model, in fact I complement her since she's great at dramatic posing.
And I know this is the model's costume gallery, I've commented on other costumes of hers. Don't know why you felt you had to "correct" my comment.
Anyway, I'll assume it was all good intentions and not just DA trolling.

Lol I do see what you mean by the belly. It's the pitfall that a lot of design for adolescent boys (comics and video games) falls into unfortunately. Like, why are the women always wearing next to nothing in the way of clothes or armor in video games where swords are the main weapon? Do they have a death wish? No, they are trying to be "sexy" over "practical" to get buys.
That said, though, I think you did an amazing job and it's a Daily Deviation well deserved!

I agree about the belly. There is nothing wrong about showing off a skin in a super-hero costume, as long as it isn't suppose to function as armor. However, not only is this clearly designed to be look like armor, but you just have this large patch of skin in the middle of the costume, with no skin anywhere else. It feels so out of place.
BTW, I'd love to see larger, brighter photos of this costume. The photo's look great, but you can't really appreciate the work fully since you can't see it fully.

When I did this costume 6 years ago, I followed Jim Lees Shillotte pretty close (minus some pouches and adding some pants). If I did the costume now I would have probably axed out the port hole and covered it up. But at this point I rather just move forward with costumes then revisit old stuff, but it stops me from sweating my ass off it in 
You can get slightly bigger photos on my website, but due to people tracing my photos and selling them or people Photoshopping them I still keep them rather small.
