Description

Meysters being a very intelligent species, they organized themselves into different and very varied life styles.

Some Meysters remained wild and close to their ancestors' behavior. Meysters are naturally more adapted to forests and mountains, using their claws and pads to climb, and are usually nocturnal. Some may be loners, some live in couple, some others live in clans which can grow very big. Clans tend to be very territorial. Wild Meysters are often more dull in colors, and show more natural coats, from white to black, tan to brown, sometimes green.
Meysters have their own way to hunt : they are not very fast but have endurance, and usually prefer traps rather than direct attacks. When hunting in group, some lead the prey to a trap : a Meyster will hide in a tree or in a high spot, and when the prey is near enough, the Meyster will launch on the prey and kill it with the strength of its jaws. When alone, the Meyster will either prepare a trap itself in which it'll lead the prey, or will use its stamina to tire the prey. A blow from a Meyster can break bones, and their jaws can bend iron : they are very strong. Their jaws are meant to crush ! One fatal bite is all they need.

However, some Meysters, as human (and other species of similar intelligence) societies grow bigger, preferred the cities. Small and big cities and villages can all be home to a cunning Meyster. Adapted to climb, brick walls are not harder to climb than trees; from the roofs, they can hunt much like their counterparts living in the forests. But some also adapted themselves to humans : one's garbage is another one's treasure. Humans' trash proved themselves very useful to hungry creatures. Stealing is also an option for the slickest ones. As they live in a more colorful environment in which camouflage isn't as important as in nature, most city Meyster grew more colorful coats.
Alternatively, some Meysters were caught, tamed, and now serve as pets. As they are as intelligent as humans are, they are not your usual dogs and cats, but can still remain good pets if well treated. Some can be pets to keep you company, your hunting partner, your guard dog, etc. Anything you think would fit ! They can however be dangerous, be careful. As years went by, many grew tired of serving as pets, and instead prefer to be treated as equals ! Many adopted accessories, even clothes, etc. They have a natural ability in learning new languages, and didn't have much trouble learning human language and writing.
Many Meysters living around humans or other intelligent species developed a more anthropomorphic form to adapt better to the urban life !

Meysters are more adapted to temperate climates, but are very adaptable and can live in hotter or colder climates. Those living in cold climates will develop fur and an ability to stock fat, those living in hot climates will adapt their need for water and will stock it if needed.

Overall, Meysters are a very adaptable species and can be seen in any world (Earth, a headworld you have, other species worlds, etc.), I tried to make them as flexible as possible as I hate being restricted myself ! Also don't worry about the colors, it just was more logical that way but feel free to throw your neon pink Meyster in the forest haha
