Bio:
Much of Shockwave's origin is shrouded in mystery, a state he wishes to keep intact at all
costs.
His cycloptic appearance and missing hand indicate on him being a victim of Empurata,
the Art of Disfigurement, which was a common practice during the reign of the dreaded
Functionalist Council.
He also seems to know more about the events surrounding the war as well as the origins of
Optimus Prime (even more than Optimus does!) than he lets on, making him even more
suspicious...
Personality:
Shockwave's loyalties lie in one thing and one thing only: Logic.
Thus, he sees the Cause as nothing more than a tool to advance his own agenda in any form
or way.
He usually acts cold, uncaring, calculating and mysterious around his so-called "Allies", not
only earning their ire in the process, but also their distrust.
When Logic dictates something more favourable, he will stop at nothing before it is achieved,
completely apathetic to the obstacles or warnings in the way.
There is a taint of hypocrisy around him, however.
He takes secretly pleasure in the torture of others all for the sake of scientific advancement,
is subtly petty towards those that wronged him in any way and, most importantly, actually
starts losing his cool when things don't go his way, sending him into a fit of violence.
Abilities:
- Advanced Analytical Mind:
Shockwave possesses a sharp, analytical mind that deduces problems in record speed and
allows him to come up with alternatives for certain situations.
- Precise Aiming:
Ironically, despite having one eye, he possesses some excellent marksmanship, probably
due to his line of work as an scientist.
- Plasma Energy Manipulation:
Shockwave can manipulate Plasma Energy and use it for great offense and defense.
- Keen Manipulator:
Unbeknownst to anyone, Shockwave is also a master manipulator who pulls the strings
from the shadows in order to achieve the favourable results he yearns for.
Arsenal:
Shockwave is armed with several experimental weapons born from his sickening science
experiments, including the afromentioned Plasma Energy as well as the Kibble Manipulator,
a tool that makes the enemies' body turn against them, and the Mode Shifter, that turns
Shockwave into different Transformers for disguising.
His most dangerous weapon in his Arsenal, however, is his mind. Whatever spawns out of
it, it will either be horrific or sickening or both at the same time.
Trivia:
- His appearance, unlike the other characters, pays homage to the overall shapes and forms
a Character named Shockwave takes: Cyclops, purple, Hand cannon, sinister scientist,
obsession with Logic, unknown background, being actually more than meets the eye...
- His Abilities, however, reference many of his incarnations:
- Animated: The ability to disguise himself.
- Marvel: Master Manipulator.
- G1 Cartoon: Inverted case. Unlike the crappy shooter he was there, here he is one of the
the BEST shooters.
- He also REALLY doesn't like Fembots and no one knows why. When asked about it, he just
phazes out and starts muttering "Those Bitches..."
