Description
After some time, I decided to upload a version that can be printed of this "top of my creation".I have mixed feelings when looking to this work since it was, ultimately, the result of some kind of hazard as you might see if you"ll continue reading below, on one hand and on the other one, I don't believe I shall be ever able to create something comparable with this piece.Β It is also sad that in the meantime, people who were inspiring me so much related to this pic like Sylvia Kristel (the actrice) and Piere Bachelet (the singer) are now in a different (better ?) world and I already consider this pic to be my artistic heritage ...

Original text:
Paris - Rue Rivoli
This is the story:
I was enjoying during last June (2011) several days in Paris with my wife. While sitting in a "post-rainy" day in a sidewalk coffee house on Rue Rivoli where you cannot park, a nice young person (a girl) in an old MiniMinor stopped and waited (later-on I found out she waited for her mother). I took a pic and cropped out the face. She is exceptionally pretty and looks like EMMANUELLE (a hot French movie around the mid 70's representing a real revolution in the Cinema World when it appeared ...). In addition the passed rain left many drops on the car window fact that amplifies a special kind of effect...
Just to point out additionally that this movie (EMMANUELLE) has practically moved the main-stream positioning vis-a-vis the "hot movies" to some point that has never ever been reached before and that is the quasi-unanimously "accepted" one today (outcome of the mentioned before revolution)
I like this piece !

The expression on her face is brilliant. And the rain on the sidewindow unterlines the atmosphere, which is and probably shall be delivered, perfectly. Great work.

this is just perfect. the rain, the slight graininess of the photo. and the angle and the shimmer on her face. it kind of gives me hope. because it's so pure. but that might sound a bit too weird.
anyway, thank you. this is wonderful.

Oh.. This is a beautiful moment.
But I am confused, a bit. You said that you cropped out the face.. So is this the original photo? She does look much like the actress from Emanuelle.

No problem if you would have taken the time to look thru my gallery you could have find :thumb260793282 [link] the original pic title "no parking". (if the link and thumb will not work)
All the rest would have become clear then ...
The physical ressemblance with the Dutch actress (S Kristel) inspired the caption of the pic ...
Thx for your interest in one of my most beloved pics.

I like the piece just for itself. It needs no story, yet it begs one to create a story from it. Nicely done. -Rick

I remember Emanuelle, the ones with Silvia Kristel, and her expression reminds me of her.
Superb capture!

I love her expression. She looks like she's dreading something, or deep in thought. This manages to be a very introspective piece even though it's a photograph. The rain gives it a cold, dreary feeling - almost like loneliness. Chilling. Nice job!
