Description

This one is quite possibly my favourite of all the plushes that I've done so far.

I wanted to re-visit the design of my original Tapu Lele plush , which I thought was okay, but I wasn't satisfied, and thought that I could do a LOT better. And man, I'm glad I decided to try again, because the new and improved design blows the old one out of the water!
In my re-design, I wanted to use new materials, correct the colours, and add a zip-up feature, similar to the one on my Tapu Fini . The zip-up feature was an incredibly interesting mechanic to work on, and somewhat different to the Fini because of the fact that the two segments had to fully detatch.

One other thing that I noticed when I inspected her in-game model is that her body is actually connected to the black part sticking out on the bottom, and it extends outwards when she withdraws into her shell. So I worked the same thing into my own design. To close her up, you hold the bottom black segment, pull the shell up her body, and then close the zip. It was a fun mechanism to design, and the first time I've ever tried such a thing!

She measures at about 17 inches (43cm) in height while open, and 13 inches (33cm) while closed.
