Description
CRITIQUE, PLEASE!! This is my first time trying out realism, and it's because my dad wants me to draw my uncle's cats.TT ATT For one, I don't really draw cats anyways, but I also have no idea how to shade in realism. ;n;
Tips or tricks, anything? Anything I can fix?
Also, his cats are black and white (tuxedo cats) and I suck at shading dark. o -o

try using the fur as shading. after lightly coloring in the fur (my preference colored pencil for simplicity) then draw another layer of fur over top in shaded parts. don't go overboard or you'll have a black cat and no white so try light grey for white areas.
and your cats will still look black and fuzzy

The nose is a bit off and there's something about the right ear that's bothering me.
