It's hard to explain why I like this because so many things jump out at me.
First, I love that your lineart is in grey instead of black, even though being a cartoonist I typically adore thick black lineart. It's just so soft and not overpowering. I also love the pale palette you used, with its subtle watercolor-esque shading. I've always loved muted palettes even though, once again, as a cartoonist I typically use brighter stronger colors. You didn't dodge or burn anything too dramatically--it's just not too overstimulating and I like it. I also like how even though it is essentially still a cartoon, you've kept almost a level of realism in it. I also love how balanced it is with the cogs in the background--like she's laying in a loveseat made of them. It justifies her pose without taking that feeling of floating and abstraction out of it.
But my favorite part is her outfit. I love the design, how it fits, how it's colored... I especially enjoy the collar and the detail around her legs. Really, it's just a beautiful work of art. Congrats on the DD.

There are so many animal-humanoid artists in deviant art that it removes any interest in this style of drawing.
However, with this piece of art, you reconcile myslef with the style. You character is really original in its pose, attitude and clothing. The mixing with technological items is a excellent choice!

Man, those compositional elements are just spiffy. Steampunk gears and the like. Also, her need for addendum claws, though by rights she should have real ones... that's neat. Overal... much coolness. Some smudging blur, but otherwise, grand.
