...she looks sad, I wonder why. With how amazing the water is and what she's doing with it, her expression is really interesting.
Maybe she's dreaming or otherwise is away from her reality, and the play with water will slowly take her mind off her troubles. Or the water itself is alive and is trying to comfort her.
Or maybe it's exactly the water that's causing the issue, like that she's different because of her ability with water, and it's feared or looked down on, so she loves it and is sad because of it at the same time.
Or she's of another world, but is required to live or hide in a non-magical world for whatever reason, and is feeling homesick and not-belonging.
