Description Photoshop has plethora of options to work with.

Attached is the image I am currently working on and incorporating a technique. So wanted to share something I'd read in ImagineFx. The colored image is a processed work of the black and white.

If you want values in your painting correct, follow the steps-

    • create a new layer on top.

    • set it to 'color' mode.

    • fill it with 'black' [press 'd', alt+backspace], now you will see the image desaturated. That's how it

       does!

    • turn visibility of the layer 'off' & 'on' to check the values.

Note : While color dropping the image, make sure the visibility of the desaturated layer is 'off'.

Hope it helps.
