Preview for a short story I'm writing: secret cloning plant #04 under the icy surface of Korryn II
- «GET ME OUT OF THIS FU**IN' CELL!!!» was the harsh, authoritarian voice yelled by XKSM-003-001 from within the containment field. Her voice was enough to cause dr. Schneider to step back and to have goose bumps on her skin, while her assistant, behind the other side of a safe 10cm bold bulletproof glass, just gasped.
- «Good morning, XKSM-003-001. How do you feel, today?» dr. Schneider answered quietly, after recovering her self control, trying to stare at her worst failure without having her own voice trembling
According KSM's rules, new shik prototypes are identified by a serial number of four letters (XKSM, X for Experimental, KSM for Korryn Shiks Matriarchy), three numbers identifying the production line, and three numbers identifying the specific clone. Being them just prototypes, 3 numbers only seemed enough, and in this case the unfortunate series XKSM-003 had one individual only: This one.

True, as if she was designed as a combat model.

In this case what was gone wrong wasn't the programming of the mind conditioning during the maturation phase, but something worse, concerning her hormonal balance. It's part of the current researches by KSM scientists a way to link together hormones and biochemical neuro-receptors, amplifiers and inhibitors that regulate aggressiveness, reactivity, pleasure and arousal. Playing with these elements sometimes brings to bad, unexpected results, as in this case

At least, she's her worst failure, so her reputation depends on slving the problem. That's why XKSM-003-001 has not been just "dismissed" (a nice verbal workaround for "suppressed")
