Backstory:
Elena is the great-granddaughter of the Villain known as Phlogiston. Phlogiston was part of an alien race’s nobility, possessing the ability to generate fire as hot as stars. Elena inherited much of this power but she saw the pain and destruction her grandfather wrought and decided to use her powers for good. Unfortunately, her powers are far more powerful than her forebearer’s and at times they can be hard to control. Elena looks mostly human, although her skin always seems to shine and shimmer and her hair is hair is a bright, burning white.
Although she is a reserve member of several Teams, she works on her own, mostly fighting against ‘legacy’ villains who have taken up the mantles of her great-grandfather’s companions. These conflicts feed her powers, causing her fire and heat to increase the longer and harder she fights. When she’s not fighting those who have taken up old legacies, Elena tries to keep some semblance of a ‘normal life working as an “Ad-Van Artist”… using her powers to create art.
Elena’s inherited alien nobility grants her several powers, although it is almost impossible to differentiate her genetics from a normal human. Her most obvious power is also her most dangerous as she is a living plasma furnace, as her body is always generating heat. Normally this heat keeps her body temperature at 120ºF and protects her from thermal damage. When she gets angry or exerts herself her core temperature increase, and the longer or harder she fights or the more emotional she gets, the more her temperature increases and the more heat she radiates. At her peak, her core temperature has reached 500,000ºF while giving off enough heat to melt Titanium (~3,040ºF) within 30 feet of her. As an extension of this alien inheritance, she can generate gouts of white fire, which she can project in various ways and shapes up to 600 feet away from her body. Normally this fire is hot enough to instantly char flesh and ignite wood (~575ºF), but when at the peak of her emotions can melt advanced metals and heat-resistant polymers (~3,500ºF). She can combine these powers to cover herself in white flames of various intensities. Finally, her non-human lineage allows her to retain these powers regardless of any change in her body or form (such as being transformed into an animal or being petrified).
