I've been mashing Star Wars and Marvel together (mostly Jedi or Sith for characters) and found my way to Darth Venom or Venom Vader... not the most original idea probably but i like it... and threw a little backstory to him.

In a universe much like the one we know the destiny of "the Chosen One" took a twist. After his failure on Mustafar, Anakin Skywalker was taken by Emperor Palpatine to a secret facility. Here the Emperor rebuilt Anakin into the cybernetic terror the Galaxy would know and fear called Darth Vader... only this time the outer layer of Vader's armor was actually a living alien.

Years ago, Palpatine found an amorphous creature, weak and confused from its long journey from half a universe away. The klyntar, unable to resist was trapped by the Emperor and studied. Eventually he tucked the alien away in stasis, knowing that one day he would find a use for it. To his delight the alien readily bonded with his apprentice and Lord Vader grew even more powerful.

At first Vader and the Klyntar were at odds, both trying to dominate the other. Eventually, after several conflicts where they needed to rely on each other, their bond deepened. Now they live in a true symbiosis, with Venom feeding off of Vader's hate and amplifying his rage driving him deeper into the Dark Side of the Force... creating an ever deepening cycle making them both stronger than even the Emperor could predict.
