ahh there he is, i was waiting for him to show up..
very cool representation of him. I love the strong shape the circlular curve of the hair makes against the hard edge of the sword flying off... makes for a very strong composition.. and though it might sound like a strange idea.. it could be abstracted into a cool 2d black flat style symbol.. but uhh yeah.. thats just some weird part of the imagination talking.
the steam is a very nice touch as well.. not to mention the blade textures ...

No, that dosen't sound weird at all, actually sounds like a flip'n good idea. Thanks for the kind word man, I actually haven't seen his SC III outfit yet. I liked his old one, I got a pretty cool toy of him from soul calibur. . .so if its like that it'll look neat.
I like his SC III helmet better though.

I have a custom 'scatter brush' and 'smeared crayon wax brush' in photoshop that i use to get those textures. If you got AIM i can send them to you.

Soul Edge II? I think you mean Soulcalibur II. Yeah, it is a kick-ass game, though Soulcalibur III is even more kick-ass.

It's rare to see any work of Nightmare and Soul Edge (I hope that's right, its been ages since I played, my own father *55 years of age may I add* was kicking my ass at it), especially carried out with such obvious 'love' and talent.

I was a sworn Ivy and Raphael player, I like them light and fast...
But it's a game that's always stuck in mind for the character designs and backgrounds more than the game play.
