Description

  After many long years of living as Jace's first monster, Rio has decided that it was time to retire. After the encounter with the Blue Jay, Jace noticed the old Great Maccao slumping more than usual and staring out into the wilds full of longing and heart ache. Jace decided it was best to let his starter monster go, to be free as he was born to be and to find the Blue Jay once again and spend the rest of her days with her.
  Rio was well trained and very experienced so he knew that he could survive out in the wilds but he was still concerned with leaving Jace behind. Rio has left Jace his first born, a Great Maccao the color of autumn and the lineage to pass down emperor's marbling. Knowing that his son would only ever receive the best life, Rio set off to the wilds to find his heart.
  Rio now lives happily as a friend and partner to the marbled Velocidrome but whenever he encounters Jace's scent or a known monster companion, he always stops by to say hello.
