D261 was feeling upset and sad because of his kind was scrapped years ago, heard rumors about Dudley, and after what happened to him that night when he got lost in the smelters. he’s starting to his conclusion that he would no longer terminating the engines were at their fate, and those who were still around.

And they did, one day he is at the shed still feeling sad and upset as usual until Toby, Rebecca and Derek came to D261 so they can figure out the situation for what he has been through.
