Originally, I was going to have a painted background with some lineart+colours for the characters to make it feel like it came out of someone else's animation or something. However, I love painting a lot and decided to go with painting it all instead. So I guess the joke I was planning to mislead people into thinking it was just another reference to something in the video is a bit lost but hey, I'm really happy with how it turned out regardless. The shadow going over the running man was a late addition but it ended up raising the tension I feel.
