In Germany, Maggi is a company that produces so-called spice cubes, liquid, etc. to flavor soups and sauces.
Especially in the 1980s and 1990s, it fell into disrepute as a way to make you fat,
and that's why many people in Germany called it Maggipanzer or in english Maggitanks without knowing whether that was even true.
I personally don't think anything of the product in terms of seasoning, I prefer nature.
