Description
This is a guideline to painting the AoCII enhanced map in its creator's vision. The user is of course free of painting it to its likehood, but we like to give recommendations. As it is a resource of the hispanic community, it's in spanish. The translation would follow:Color usage in the map.Color palettes are nobody's land, but there are some general guidelines we can determine. This guideline, in contrast with the last one, is more of a suggestion for being able to mantain consistance in the color usage.
A complete color palette should include three tones for the country. One for the country itself. A second one for its vassals. And a last one for militar occupation. It is recommended that the palette goes from a dark tone to a lighter one.
Vassal-owner relations variaty the vassal's color depending in the control its owner has of them. As the owner has less control of the vassal, the last one is permitted to recover its original color until only the vassal frontier prevails.
Absolute dependency is represented painting the vassal as the vassal color in the color palette.
If it lessens, then the vassal should have this color but with an opacity value of 200.
If it lessens further, then the vassal should have this color but with an opacity value of 150.
If it is reduced, the opacity value is reduced to 100.
If it is very reduced, then the opacity value is reduced to 50.
When the influence is none, or the relation between both parts is equal (Personal Unions), then only the vassal frontier will prevail.
(Throughout the guideline is stated an example with Napoleonic France's an Bourbonic Spain's palettes as to represent this transition).
To represent rebellions, it is recommended to paint the provinces or places affected by the uprising direcly as the uprising itself, but whithouth giving it borders. For this intent, it is recommended the use of either high value colors or soft ones.
