Gettysburg, Pennsylvania is quite closely associated with the 1863 Civil War battle and with President Abraham Lincoln, who was assassinated 150 years ago. Commissioned by the Lincoln Fellowship of Pennsylvania and installed in 1991, the "Return Visit Statue" next to the central traffic circle shows the 16th president with a modern tourist. Lincoln is using his hat to point to the David Wills House, where he stayed the night before delivering the Gettysburg Address dedicating the military cemetery on November 19, 1863.
