Yesterday afternoon, I went to the town of Clifton, Virginia to do some trainspotting and saw a Washington, D.C.-bound Virginia Railway Express (VRE) commuter train speeding past the Norfolk and Western Railway (N&W) caboose parked at the site of the former Devereux railroad station. The caboose might have been a bit surprised to see MP36 diesel locomotive V65 pushing the train, as the back of the train was traditionally reserved for the caboose.
